We have an LCEI frame (with LCMEs) which shows a FRAME FAIL alarm.  We have checked all the power converter cards, the ringing generators, the ABS fuses, the line drawer fuses and the NTBX72 cards on each shelf.  We tested the voltage from the 6X53 power converter cards and all seems well.

This LCEI frame has a NTBX37AB FSP panel.  The only other option is to replace the small 6X63 cards (there are two of them) in the FSP.  However, I can not find procedures to change out this card for the NTBX37AB FSP panel.  While a card replacement  procedure is provided for the 6X63 for other FSP panels, the circuit breaker configuration on the different FSP panels are not the same.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know.  Thnaks

How have you got on... did you swap out the 6X63 with another rack.
As far as I can remember we had a similar issue on an MTM.
the 6X63 is only an alarm card - no power down or fuse removel to change. This on the gated FSP panel? we just swung it out and swapped with an adjacent rack to prove the card.
Good luck. Carrie.

I understand what you are saying.  This FSP have two 6X63 cards which are stacked (one on top of another).  While I think I can just change the card without any flipping of circuit breakers on the panel, I'm not sure which one to change so I'll just have to change one to see if the alarm goes away.  If not change the other.

Instructions for some other FSP panels, indicated circuits breakers must be flipped prior to changning out the 6X63 and other FSP panel did not require circuit breaker manipulation.

So soon I'll just do it vigilante style, pull a card, replace with a new one, etc........

I'll let you know what the outcome is.......
